    Honest First Thoughts

    The Good:

    The product is durable, the colors are true to the pictures and it is a discreet smell-proof carrying option as advertised. The shipping was on-time and there didn't seem to be any major defects. The jars did seem a little dusty which prompted me to want to clean them before use (more on that later), but no major problems.

    Seems like a good option if you have expendable income and plan on keeping a small amount of product at one time.

    The Not so Good:

    Pricey for the size - Considering you're paying a premium price, it's surprising how small the jars are. The justification for purchasing the Staze jars is to keep the product you're storing in-tact and preserved. If you're planning to use this as your primary storage option and you only have 3 jars, keeping more than 1 oz at a time is going to be tricky without stuffing them full.

    Beware of Cleaning - The first thing I wanted to do is clean out the jars after shipping. You need to be very careful when cleaning, as due to how the lid is designed, it can very easily get water trapped inside. I didn't realize this on the first one and got water inside the pump mechanism. Since it's designed to be air-tight, I had to pump it over and over to try and get air in to dry out the water. Getting any sort of paper tower or wash cloth in to manually dry in is impossible. Nowhere on any documentation in the box does it say anything about best practices for cleaning or what to be aware of.

    Unclear if Pump works? - Didn't know how to title this one in any clearer way. I know how the company describes the pump system to work and that you're supposed to pump and wait for a "click." I don't ever hear a distinctive click and I've messed with them a lot. It's clear that it's pumping something out and you can feel the air pressure increase as you continually pump. However with slight twists of the top it seems like you can release air somewhat easily and reset the pressure in the cap. I've had it for about 3 weeks and it seems to keep the quality of the product so maybe it's working, but I don't feel as good about sealing the jars and knowing they were air tight as I thought I would.

    Overall I love the idea of the design and hope the company can improve and succeed.
